PAXTON MILLER - HEAD COACH

PAXTON MILLER

Paxton Miller enters his first season as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Sheldon High School. Prior to joining Sheldon, he led the Pleasant Hill girls basketball program to a 37–14 record over two seasons, highlighted by a league championship and a league playoff title. During that time, he was honored as the Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year in both seasons.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Paxton is entering his fifth year in education. He holds endorsements in Physical Education and Health and currently serves as a Physical Education teacher at Sheldon High School. Before transitioning into teaching, he spent four years as an educational assistant with Springfield Public Schools.

Paxton’s coaching philosophy emphasizes using sport as a vehicle to prepare young people for life, with a strong focus on character, intangibles, and the process of growth over outcomes alone. Outside of school and athletics, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, reading, and attending concerts.
